The E-Z Brace is designed to come out of the box and onto the gate. It is fully preassembled and installs in minutes.
Tools Needed for Installation:
- Drill with 10mm or 3/8 socket
- Shovel
- Block of wood
Installation Directions for existing or new gate:
- On an existing gate, remove diagonal cross brace if present.
- Install bottom brace one inch from end of gate on hinge side.
- Install top brace on bottom or rail on latch side.
- Use a block of wood and a shovel (as a lever and fulcrum) to raise the latch side of the gate one inch PAST desired level.
- Drive self-tapping screws into brace at desired extension, then drive the remaining wood screw with clamp into the center rail of gate.
Easy To Adjust
In the event that your gate sags a little over time due to the posts settling or your hinge hardware adjusting, the E-Z Brace is a snap to adjust! Simply remove the two self-tapping metal screws, adjust the gate up just like the original installation, and reinstall the screws.
